Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here, we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic disorders into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic disorders. We work in multidisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care and treatment around the patient.
Description
Do you want to work with young people experiencing their first episode of a psychotic disorder? Seize the opportunity! We are now looking for a temporary colleague to join our wonderful workplace – Specialist Psychiatric Clinic 6, at S:t Eriksplan.
We are an outpatient clinic for the investigation and treatment of first-episode patients with psychotic disorders within Psykosvård Stockholm. The clinic is located in modern premises at Atlasmuren (S:t Eriksplan). Continuous development work is carried out here, where you as a nurse will have the opportunity to influence the content of care! We work in a team-based manner, taking everyone's competence into account to offer the best possible care.
As a new nurse at the clinic, we ensure that you receive a good introduction and have the opportunity to grow into the role. You will join a well-functioning team and have strong support from your experienced colleagues. The clinic has good medical staffing, with doctors who have extensive experience working with this target group.
Responsibilities
We are looking for you who want to work in a multidisciplinary team investigating and treating first-episode individuals with psychosis aged 18-35. In addition to standard nursing duties, you will be responsible for coordinating care and support interventions for a number of patients. This is a central, interesting, and varied part of the job. We work actively with the patient's family and network and make home visits when necessary. If inpatient care is needed, the clinic's patients are treated at Ward 21 at S:t Göran Hospital, a specialized ward for first-episode psychosis, with which we have a close and excellent collaboration.
You will also be involved in the development projects and group therapies currently ongoing at the clinic. An example is the mentorship project, where patients and relatives are trained as mentors to support other patients and relatives. FitForLife is another treatment group where patients who have received trainer education lead circle training for other patients once a week. We also have a theater project supported by the Cultural Administration, where patients are offered the opportunity to use their experience as a basis for expression through theater.
Conditions
Fixed-term/temporary position, 100%, for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Start date as soon as possible according to agreement. We prefer that you are available to work full-time. Working hours are 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 08:00 – 16:45, with a 45-minute break. Start date according to agreement.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry and experience in psychosis care are meritorious. Training as a Case Manager or CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) training is also meritorious. You enjoy problem-solving and building long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and their relatives.
