About the position

We offer the opportunity to work within cardiac care on one of our wards in Huddinge or Solna.

Huddinge

Ward Cardiology 1+2 in Huddinge has three care units. In inpatient cardiology, we focus on patients with ischemia, bradycardia, coronary artery disease, arrhythmia investigation and treatment, heart failure, and heart valve disease. In elective cardiology, we provide pre- and post-care for patients undergoing various cardiac interventions, such as pacemaker implantation, PCI, ablations, and electrical cardioversions. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) is our highly specialized cardiac care unit.

The patient's length of stay is usually between 1–3 days, which means the work with us is varied and the pace is diverse. On the ward, a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, ward assistants, doctors, and physiotherapists works in close collaboration regarding our patients.

Solna

Ward Cardiology Solna has a total of 26 beds where we consolidate and coordinate flows for coronary artery, valve, arrhythmia (brady- and tachycardia), and heart failure. Approximately 80 percent of our patients are elective and undergo planned procedures. We also function as a receiving unit for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI) who are to undergo coronary angiography and PCI during on-call hours and weekends. Since our care periods are short, usually 2–3 days, daily life is characterized by flexibility, structure, and a varied pace.

We believe in the strength of collaboration. Here you work in close, multidisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Together, we always put the patient first.

The advertisement concerns a permanent position with working hours scheduled for three shifts or night shifts. Probation may apply. The position also involves weekend work, two weekends out of five.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Registered nurse with eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a nurse.

Merits:

• Experience from cardiology, emergency care, or thoracic surgery.
