Within the Orthopedics department at Danderyd Hospital, we treat patients with various orthopedic diseases and injuries. The clinic performs both emergency and planned surgery for patients aged 15 and up. We treat patients with everything from basic to complex fractures. Our patients are often multi-morbid with high care needs, which allows our nurses to gain high-level and broad competence. The clinic's areas of expertise include trauma surgery, shoulder and elbow operations, as well as complications after hip and knee prosthesis surgery.

Job Description

As a nurse, you work in a team together with doctors, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The clinic also has care coordinators, ward coordinators, dietitians, and social workers available. You are responsible for planning and leading patient care, including preoperative preparations, postoperative care, pain relief, advanced wound care treatment, mobilization, and care planning in collaboration with your team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse (RN)
• Experience in emergency care is an advantage
• Further education in emergency care or surgery is an advantage

About the Department

The Orthopedics department at Danderyd Hospital is a 24/7 operation with over 300 employees. We provide both emergency and elective care and see patients at our orthopedic outpatient clinic, the orthopedic section at the hospital's emergency department, and at our two orthopedic inpatient wards.

We operate at the central operating theater with our own surgical staff and also run day surgery operations. Our operations also include a comprehensive paramedical section.
