About the position

As a nurse with us, you will gain experience in both inpatient care and day care, where day care is integrated into the same premises as the ward. This working method is unique within Region Stockholm, and we are the first to offer day care places in collaboration with ASIH (Acute Stay at Home).

You will work with emergency care for the most frail elderly, and on the ward, you are responsible for the patient's nursing care as well as carrying out and following up on medical orders. We have close collaboration with colleagues outside the hospital, such as the municipality and primary care. The primary task is to plan and carry out care together with the patient, the team, and relatives.

We have a mix of employees; those who have worked for a long time, for a few years, and those who are newly graduated. This gives us a good group dynamic where everyone contributes with different experiences and perspectives. The ward also has discharge coordinators who relieve the nurses in the discharge process. For medication administration, we use inpatient dosing, which promotes patient safety and the work environment.

There is an opportunity to influence your working hours; we apply individual scheduling with the new working time rules. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening shifts and 2 out of 5 weekends.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse

Merits:

• Previous experience in geriatrics and/or emergency care
• Specialist Nurse degree in elderly care or emergency care
• Supervisor training
