About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Gamlestadstorget Health Centre! We are an established unit located in Östra Göteborg, a district undergoing significant development. The premises are fresh and bright with good transport links to the city centre nearby. We are a team of 48 people working in various professions, serving approximately 14,350 listed patients of all ages. The same building also houses the Child Health Centre (BVC), a rehabilitation clinic, and a midwife's clinic.

We work for good communication across professional boundaries and strive to utilize the vast knowledge behind each employee. We believe that having influence and the opportunity to impact planning, scheduling, and tasks is a prerequisite for a good working environment. About the Role

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You work independently and vary your work between clinic duties. Guidance is provided by an experienced specialist who offers support and knowledge exchange. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities. About You

You are a licensed physician with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and undertaking Specialist Training (ST) in General Practice. You possess Swedish language skills at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

We are looking for someone who is receptive and has a good manner of dealing with people, as you will meet many different patients at the health centre. You thrive in teamwork and consider it natural to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in work. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Considerate, and Innovative.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with a possible extension and opportunity for Specialist Training (ST).

If you trained as a doctor abroad and have not completed the General Practice Training (AT) in Sweden to obtain medical licensure, you are subject to the new regulations regarding Basic Training (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021. Basic Training for Physicians (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of Specialist Training under the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
