We are looking for support educators (stödpedagoger) for our units within short-term supervision and short-term stays in LSS (Support and Service Law) in Lund Municipality. Do you want to support our users in living a meaningful and active life? Then you might be one of our new employees.

About the role and responsibilities

In the role of support educator, you work to improve and provide guidance in pedagogical work. You work as part of a team where you perform regular duties while also serving as additional support for your colleagues.

As a support educator, you have dedicated time for pedagogical work. This may include guiding colleagues in challenging work situations, staying updated on the latest studies regarding clear and explicit pedagogy (tydliggörande pedagogik), providing guidance on documentation, or collaborating with other support educators. The role also involves creating and designing implementation plans, documenting work, and contributing to maintaining high quality in the operations.

You will work to support our users in their daily lives with care, leisure, and cultural activities. The unit collaborates with nearby day activities, where you will have the opportunity to provide support when needed together with other colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you embody our values: listen, learn, and lead. Together with our support assistants and pedagogical coordinators, you will support our users in living the life they desire.

We are looking for someone who is positive, innovative, and has the ability to see individual development and potential. Great emphasis is placed on your experience with this target group and your knowledge of low-affective interaction (lågaffektivt bemötande). You must enjoy working flexibly, as the units collaborate regarding staffing and personnel.

About us

Short-term supervision is intended for individuals with disabilities who no longer qualify for after-school care but still require supervision. Supervision is offered before and after school hours, as well as during holidays and study days, targeting individuals from age 13 until they complete upper secondary school.

Short-term supervision offers relaxing and active leisure activities that provide both physical and mental stimulation, allowing users to socialize with other young people under adult supervision.

Short-term stays provide individuals with disabilities with an opportunity for a change of environment, while simultaneously offering respite for their relatives. We serve both children and adults, offering stays during weekdays and weekends. The stay provides the user with a change of environment, stimulation, and community with others, and can also serve as good preparation for those wishing to move out of their family home.

The units serve children, adolescents, and young adults. The operations are open 24/7, which means you will work irregular hours and every other weekend. Night shifts may occur. A full-time position corresponds to 36.33 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary specialization in the field of disability, comprising at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least two semesters of full-time study.
• Experience working with the target group and in LSS operations.
• Good knowledge and experience of clear and explicit pedagogy/TEACH.
• Good knowledge and experience of low-affective interaction.
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Good knowledge of common documentation tools.
• Basic skills in digital work tools.
• A driver's license is an advantage.
