Support Pedagogue for Short-term Stay and Leisure (LSS)

We are now seeking a temporary support pedagogue on a full-time basis for our operations regarding short-term stays and leisure activities for children and young people under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Here, you will meet children and young people with various disabilities who are entitled to support according to LSS. Our work aims to create a safe, meaningful, and developmental stay where the individual's needs, participation, and self-determination are at the center.

Job Responsibilities
As a support pedagogue, your main task is to support children and young people in their leisure activities. You motivate and support in daily and planned support measures/activities together with the citizen. The support measures should promote integrity and participation and be carried out with great respect for the citizen's self-determination.
Your assignment also includes quality assurance and further development of the operations together with other support pedagogues and the unit manager. This responsibility also includes developing and driving the daily pedagogical work.
In addition to the daily work in the operations, the following is included:
- Collaborate and anchor evidence-based methods and implement these approaches in the operations
- Be a support to colleagues in the work of developing and using individually adapted pedagogical methods
- In interaction with citizens and colleagues, identify needs and opportunities for the development of different working methods
- Maintain continuous dialogue and coordination with colleagues and the unit manager
- Plan, document, execute, and evaluate the operations' work, e.g., individual implementation plans, risk analyses, and routine descriptions
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have education as a support pedagogue or other relevant education comprising at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits
- Have experience working within LSS, preferably with children and young people
- Have knowledge of low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy
- Are secure, flexible, and responsible
- Have good cooperation skills and a professional approach
A B-class driver's license is required.
Employment Conditions
- Salary: Monthly salary
- Employment type: Fixed-term employment
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Start date: 2026-09-01
- End date: 2027-01-31
- Working hours: Schedule. Work is performed according to a schedule with work every other weekend
The position will be filled subject to necessary political decisions being made and provided it does not need to be taken for internal use.
