Do you want to work closely with children, young people, and their families to contribute to better mental health? We are now looking for a counselor for First Line Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in Helsingborg.

First Line is part of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) and includes the clinics First Line, A Way In, Digital Treatment, as well as Research and Development. We are working in an exciting development phase with a focus on accessibility, standardized care processes, and digital treatment forms. Our clinic is centrally located in Helsingborg. Here, psychologists, counselors, medical secretaries, and the unit manager work together, with a doctor attached as a consultant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a counselor with us, you work with children and young people with persistent mental health issues and mild to moderate psychiatric conditions. The work includes both assessment and shorter treatment interventions, individually and in groups, both digitally and in person.

We work from a family perspective where you meet both children, young people, and parents. Each employee works independently with assessment, mapping, and treatment. The treatment consists mainly of psychoeducation and support in handling the difficulties that led to the contact. An important part of the work is also collaboration with schools, social services, and other actors.

With us, you will have a varied and independent job in close collaboration with colleagues in a team. We offer regular team conferences, supervision, and a good introduction.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a degree in social work and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also have basic IT skills. It is meritorious if you have a license as a healthcare counselor, psychotherapy training, or previous experience in curative work, preferably within child psychiatry.

We see that you are a stable and responsible person who enjoys working both independently and with others. You have a structured approach to work, are flexible in your attitude, and have the ability to see the whole picture regarding the child and the family. You are receptive in meetings with others, communicate clearly, and have an easy time creating good collaborations. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
