We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Java/Backend Developer for an exciting assignment in Gothenburg. Our client is an established consultancy with a tight-knit, cohesive team where you will combine technical breadth with real impact.

About the role

In this role, you will build and maintain modern backend solutions and microservices in a cloud-first environment. You naturally navigate between backend development, integrations, and cloud services, thriving on delivering robust solutions in agile teams.

You will primarily work with:

• Backend solutions and microservices in Java using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, and OSGi
• Cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) and Azure (AKS, CosmosDB)
• Integrations via REST, gRPC, and Kafka
• Relational databases and NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and CosmosDB
• CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based architectures
• Monitoring and observability using tools like Grafana, DataDog, and Kibana

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development
• Is accustomed to working in modern, agile teams
• Navigates seamlessly between backend, integrations, and cloud services
• Has drive, curiosity, and genuine commitment to your code and colleagues
• Communicates well in Swedish and/or English
