Three Assistants Wanted for a Team in Svalöv

Do you want a job that requires both a positive attitude towards life and mental strength? We are now looking for three personal assistants for a man in his 50s who has a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He lives in a villa in central Svalöv, where his wife and adult son also reside.

The client has ALS, a disease that causes the body to become progressively weaker, changing and limiting the individual's conditions over time. Due to the nature and prognosis of the disease, the work is mentally and psychologically demanding. A desire and a prerequisite is that the employed personal assistants have a positive and solution-focused approach, framed by a large dose of humor.

About the Position and Schedule

The client is entitled to round-the-clock assistance. You will be part of a work team consisting of seven people in total.

• Daytime and evenings: We work with double staffing. You will always have a colleague on site.
• Nighttime: You work alone. Currently, this involves being awake during the night.

Job Responsibilities

Since our client needs support with all physical activity, you become his extended arms and legs. You assist with everything essential to life and ensure that his daily life and family life run smoothly.

Your tasks include:

• Everything in the home: Managing daily chores in the villa, such as cleaning, laundry, and other general household tasks.
• Food and health: Planning purchases, grocery shopping, cooking, and assisting during meals.
• Personal care: Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Administration and contacts: Booking appointments and assisting with contacts regarding doctor visits, dentists, and other societal agencies.
• Activities: Joining outings and helping him implement ideas you come up with together.

Qualifications

No formal education is required for the position. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and suitability.

However, it is meritorious if you are trained as a nursing assistant, and have knowledge and/or experience working with individuals who have ALS.
