Job Responsibilities

As a junior doctor (underläkare) with us, you will be part of our medical team staffing the Rheumatology Clinic and Day Care Unit. In your practical work, you will, for example, administer cortisone injections and perform standard clinic duties where, under supervision, you investigate, manage, and treat patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases and vasculitis.

We work in cross-professional teams where you collaborate with other staff at the clinic. Additionally, you will receive supervision from senior physicians. As a junior doctor, you will participate in on-call and backup duty, supervise students, and support nurses at the nurse-led clinic. Together with other employees, you will participate in development work at the clinic.

About the Workplace

The Rheumatology Clinic is a department with 34 employees in various professional categories, where we work together with a holistic view of the patient. We work with quality and development based on a clear goal image. The clinic has a county-wide responsibility for the investigation and treatment of adult patients with various autoimmune joint and connective tissue diseases.

Rheumatology is an exciting field that has developed significantly in recent years. We offer modern treatments and new medications that provide better health and quality of life for our patients. The clinic has a well-functioning rheumatology rehabilitation unit for the rehabilitation of patients with rheumatic diseases.

The clinic has 3 inpatient beds for the treatment and investigation of patients with systemic diseases involving organ involvement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish medical license. If you have worked as a doctor in medicine or general practice, it is an advantage for the position. In our work, we use the medical record system Cosmic; if you have used this system in your previous work, we view it as an advantage. In the role, you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues every day, so good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

We see that you are a stable and confident person who takes responsibility in your work and enjoys collaborating in teams with other professions. You have a respectful approach in meetings with patients, relatives, and colleagues. In the role of a doctor, you will lead and supervise colleagues, so we require that you are clear in your communication and mindful of being understood and of understanding what others want to say. We have high demands on personal qualities.

Employment Conditions

Temporary position for 6 months with possibility of extension, full-time.

Working hours Monday–Friday, no weekend work.

Start date from September 1st or as agreed.
