We are now offering PTP (Post-Graduate Training in Psychology) positions. Your duties will consist of performing psychological work at a primary care center under supervision, which involves assessing and treating mental and behavior-related ill health based on the primary care mandate. The focus is on preventive and early interventions based on common reasons for seeking care at a primary care center. You will primarily conduct physical, individual visits, and potentially digital care meetings, internet-based, and group therapy.

We work based on a primary care-oriented approach, which includes high accessibility and collaboration with other professions. It is important that you have an interest in working specifically within primary care, which means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental health issues.

We are a well-staffed primary care center in central Västerås, with doctors (specialists in general medicine), district nurses, nurses, occupational therapists, psychotherapists, maternal health care, child health care (BVC), physiotherapists, assistant nurses, and dietitians. Our goal is to provide the patient and their family with secure care with high accessibility and continuity.

We are looking for someone who is receptive and accommodating, with good communication skills and the ability to identify individuals' unique needs. Through initiative and active engagement, you want to participate in the development of operations and contribute to the daily, cross-professional collaboration at the primary care center.

About you

• You have completed a psychology degree with eligibility to perform PTP training.
• You have studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or another current orientation for psychological treatment.
• You have an interest in primary care and primary care-adapted working methods.
