About the position

The assignment involves working with children and young people who have significant and permanent disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, autism, and severe motor impairments. We provide habilitation services according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), counseling, and other personal support according to the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). As an occupational therapist, you contribute your specific expertise to create participation in daily life for the people we meet. The duties include collaborating with the individual's network. The work often takes place in the person's immediate environment and through consultative measures. You are also expected to participate in the planning and implementation of training and group activities for users, relatives, and networks.

As an occupational therapist, you are also responsible for certain cases for individuals and their families, which involves mapping, documenting, and coordinating measures both internally and externally. The work is carried out in teams, and planning is done in collaboration with the individual, parents/guardians, and the network. The multidisciplinary team includes a counselor, psychologist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, and occupational therapist. You contribute your specific expertise to the team's work.

The temporary position is for full-time employment for a period of 6 months.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Habilitation according to HSL, counseling, and other personal support according to LSS
• Collaborate with the individual's network
• Participate in planning and implementation of training and group activities for users/relatives and networks
• Map, document, and coordinate measures internally and externally
• Planning in collaboration with the individual, parents/guardians, and network
• Collaborate with your work team consisting of a counselor, psychologist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, and occupational therapist

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be educated as an occupational therapist
• Have experience and/or interest in working in multidisciplinary teams

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities within the habilitation target group
• A driver's license and driving experience, as many visits take place at other locations
