Swedish Armed Forces, Air Force Warfare School seeks professional and reserve officers for full- and part-time positions in Uppsala

Short about the unit:

The Air Force Warfare School (LSS) is the Air Force's joint competence centre for education and development. At LSS, you will find the Air Force's schools, the Air Force's development unit, and the Swedish Armed Forces' Canine Service Unit. LSS plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the future Air Force.

We are now looking for you who:

• are a professional officer but for various reasons have chosen to leave the Swedish Armed Forces – here is an opportunity to return and be rehired!
• have already retired but feel that you have more to offer in working life and can imagine being rehired. New regulations make it possible for you to keep your pension while being employed on a permanent or part-time basis within the Swedish Armed Forces.
• are currently a reserve officer and are interested in a permanent or part-time position at LSS.

As an employee of the Swedish Armed Forces, you are offered varied and meaningful tasks, physical training during working hours, and good opportunities for personal development. As an employed officer at LSS, you will, together with dedicated colleagues, work towards the unit's set goals.

Tasks:

Regardless of which position you hold, you will in some way work with supporting and creating conditions for the growth of the Swedish Armed Forces and the development of LSS.

There is an opportunity to relieve workload in various projects and targeted efforts within the unit's divisions, contribute to development work at one of the unit's schools, or serve as an additional resource during time-limited assignments.

We can offer work within different military positions:

• Tactics Officer
• Planning Officer
• Staff Officer/Staff NCO
• Instructor

Qualifications:

• Completed officer education with approved results (officer, specialist officer, or reserve officer education).
• Previous service with the Swedish Armed Forces or other defense-related activities.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
• Hold at least a Category B driver's license.

Personal qualities

The tasks as an officer are varied, which requires that you can work in a structured and non-hierarchical manner. We are looking for you who have good communication skills, are a team player with high cooperation skills, and who is also proactive and can work independently.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

The Air Force Warfare School has four joint Air Force schools and educates, among others, future pilots within the Swedish Armed Forces. The Air Force Warfare School operates in seven locations spread across the country and has its headquarters in Uppsala.
