Responsibilities

The unit consists of three geodata engineers in total, including you. We perform all geodata-related tasks occurring within the municipality by handling all map and GIS-related issues. Fieldwork and some system administration are handled under a cooperation agreement with Ängelholm Municipality.

The unit's tasks include building and updating the municipality's map databases, GIS operations, internal and external map services, new construction maps, tourist maps, BAL information, and participation in the preparation of comprehensive and detailed plans, among other things. We collaborate regionally with other municipalities and nationally with agencies such as the Swedish Mapping, Cadastre and Land Registration Authority (Lantmäteriet) and the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). We primarily use products from Sokigo, but also solutions such as FME and open-source software.

You should be able to be helpful and work independently in parts within all the areas the unit handles. Together, we provide complete geodata supply for both internal and external customers. In connection with this recruitment, we primarily see a need to strengthen our GIS competence.

There is an opportunity to participate in municipality-wide work within AI and digitalization.

Qualifications

We are not necessarily looking for a new Klas or Malin (your future colleagues) – but rather you, who can complement us!

To succeed in the role, you need a post-secondary education with competence in geodata and good knowledge of digital map handling and database technology. It is an advantage if you have experience from similar tasks within municipal or other public administration.

Working both independently and in a group, as well as having the customer in focus, is natural for you. You are receptive, humble, and curious, and have good communication skills and an ability to adapt your way of expressing yourself based on the recipient.

You are proactive, structured, and responsible. You have a positive outlook and are open to acquiring new knowledge and experiences, and are interested in the development of relationships, methods, processes, and technology.

• Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-01 or according to agreement.
