Are you an engineer with a strong interest in technology who wants to work with product development in a Swedish industrial company? At Värmebaronen, you will have a varied designer role close to both development and production, where you work on everything from product improvements and customer adaptations to new technical solutions.

About the company

Värmebaronen is a family-owned company that has been developing and manufacturing heating systems in Sweden since 1975. From the headquarters and factory in Österslöv outside Kristianstad, the entire product range is designed and produced, and is today sold both on the Swedish market and internationally.

With nearly 70 employees and over 50 years of experience, Värmebaronen has built a strong reputation for quality within the energy industry. The company's philosophy has always been the same – not to be the largest, but to be the best. By having development, design, and manufacturing under one roof, short decision-making paths, high quality, and good opportunities to influence the products from idea to finished solution are created.

Mero assists in the recruitment process, but employment is directly with Värmebaronen.

About the role

As a designer at Värmebaronen, you become part of the development team where you work on both further developing existing products and creating new solutions. The role is broad and varied, covering everything from product improvements and customer adaptations to the development of entirely new products. In addition to the development work, you contribute technical expertise to the operations and ensure that the products meet relevant requirements, standards, and quality criteria.

You work closely with both development and production, which provides short decision-making paths and the opportunity to quickly turn ideas into practical solutions. The role is production-oriented, and you have the opportunity to follow the products through large parts of the development process – from design and testing to the finished product. For the right person, there is also the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within the development team over time and contribute to the team's continued development. In the role, you will among other things:

  • Design and develop products in Inventor
  • Further develop the existing range and create new solutions
  • Work with customer adaptations and special solutions
  • Participate in testing, verification, and product improvements
  • Create technical calculations and design documentation
  • Ensure that products meet relevant requirements and standards
  • Collaborate closely with production to develop manufacturable solutions
  • Contribute technical expertise to support and other parts of the operations

About you

We are looking for you who have experience in mechanical design and who enjoy combining technical development work with practical problem-solving. You appreciate working closely with both development and production and are motivated by creating solutions that work in practice. You do not need to have experience in a leading role previously, but we believe you thrive when taking responsibility, driving issues forward, and supporting colleagues in technical challenges.

You work in a structured and independent manner, but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues within development, production, and other parts of the operations. We believe you are curious, engaged, and like to take on technical challenges – whether it is about further developing an existing product or finding a solution to a new problem. We would like you to have:

  • An engineering degree in mechanics, mechanical engineering, or a similar field
  • Experience in mechanical design in welded sheet metal
  • Very good knowledge of Inventor and Vault
  • Experience in technical calculations and product development
  • Ability to read, understand, and work according to technical standards
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Experience within pressure vessels and electrical design is meritorious.
