About the role

We offer you exciting and developmental tasks in a creative environment, in close collaboration with our production team and with a focus on the total business. We always have a good mix of small and large, interesting projects. We are often involved throughout the entire project, from bidding to completion. You will, among other things, work on developing efficient solutions for bids, design, and practical solutions within projects. You will provide technical expertise to our production and drive development and environmental monitoring.

As a Geotechnical Designer at Peab, you will belong to the Business Area Infrastructure and be part of the expert group, Infrastructure Technology, which supports the operations with infrastructure technical questions. The group currently consists of 22 employees within the competence areas of geotechnics, infrastructure construction, and BIM. The goal is to strengthen the department with additional Geotechnical Designers during the coming year. Infrastructure Technology has the long-term goal of becoming Sweden's best technology organization.

Typical tasks include: dimensioning of piles, sheet piles, slopes, bearing capacity, soil nailing, jet grouting, KC-piles, lightweight fill, and above all, active design, where we need to adapt to reality and production needs.

Your primary placement will be at our offices in Solna, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Umeå. However, there is room for flexibility as we have offices in several locations.

About you

Someone who is genuinely interested in geotechnics and construction and wants to understand how everything fits together. Someone who truly can and wants to understand the problems out in the production. We are looking for you who are outgoing, solution-focused, and gain energy from being able to influence.

Depending on the breadth of your previous work, we believe you have at least 10 years of experience working with geotechnics and construction since your graduation. It is an advantage if you have worked in or close to production.

You have:

• A Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Road and Water) with a focus on construction or geotechnics
• Category B driver's license
• Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
