The Air Staff is looking for a Strategic Advisor with the main responsibility for the long-term direction of the Air Force Command. Do you want to work at the heart of the Swedish Air Force and contribute directly to shaping and achieving the Air Force Chief's strategic objectives?
We are now looking for an engaged and analytical strategist who wishes to work close to the leadership in an organization undergoing constant development.
About the Position
As a Strategic Advisor at the Air Staff, you will work in a role with very high integrity and in close collaboration with the Air Force Command (AFC), the Military Adviser (MA), other parts of the AFC executive support, and the Air Staff leadership. The position means that you are a central link in shaping and implementing strategic visions into practical operations, as well as monitoring these operations.
The Air Staff is an organization under continuous adaptation, which places high demands on flexibility. The nature and focus of the tasks may vary depending on the current leadership's direction and specific support needs.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for supporting the Air Force Command's long-term operations through strategic planning, analysis, and monitoring. You act as a qualified support to the Air Force Command and the Air Staff in identifying and implementing overarching goals and directions into concrete activities and results. The role also involves contributing to the planning and execution of meetings, visits, and other strategically important activities.
- Responsible for the Air Force Command's long-term objectives, direction, planning, and operational monitoring
- Conduct qualified analyses and contribute to the development of strategies
- Act as an advisor to the Air Force Command and the Air Staff on matters concerning long-term development and goal achievement
- Support the implementation of long-term goals and directions into concrete activities
- Support the Air Staff regarding invitations, handbooks, travel, and visits with a focus on purpose, content, and execution
- Support the Air Staff in preparing decision materials for meetings, speeches, and other leadership activities
- Assist the Air Staff in the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and visit programs.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant academic degree or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer
- At least 5 years of work experience relevant to the position
- Experience in analysis for decision-making and direction-setting work
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English
- Category B driver's license

Merits
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' organization, leadership, and monitoring
