Are you an engaged and confident support assistant who wants to make a real difference? Then this might be the right position for you! We warmly welcome your application to us at Daytime Activities, HSE Unit.
About the position
As a support assistant within daytime activities, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, execute, and follow up on the daily work. Your role involves being available, providing support, being a source of security, and placing the service user's needs at the center. Within daytime activities, we work based on the methods of low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy, which are built on making the world as clear and predictable as possible.
At the HSE Unit, you work as sole staff on-site at companies. The activity is directed at participants with LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) decisions, and the group consists of both hearing and deaf participants. There are no care-related tasks included in this position; instead, the focus is on structure and a clarifying pedagogical working method where we require participants to manage themselves as much as possible. Since you will help participants with tasks related to the unit's vehicle fleet, such as tire changes and car washing, a driver's license is required.
Examples of tasks:
- Support the service user in daily activities and occupations in a pedagogical manner.
- Responsible for finding suitable activities/tasks in consultation with the service users and developing them based on their needs.
- Plan and develop the work independently.
- Create and follow up on implementation plans and document regularly in Lifecare.
- Participate in APT (Department Planning Meeting) and collaborate with the HSE Unit's medical team.
- Have knowledge of and follow the organization's current laws, policies, and routines.
About the workplace
The position is located at Tegelgatan 1–3 on Väster in Örebro.
The Social Services Department's area for functional support provides support and services to persons with physical and mental disabilities according to the LSS Act and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
Since you work alone on-site, a high degree of personal responsibility is required. We also look for your ability to meet service users in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You work well with others and relate to them in a sensitive and flexible way. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's specific needs. You master the Swedish language to such an extent that you can communicate with the service user and other staff, as well as document in writing as required by the activity.
For this position, you need to be able to communicate verbally with the hearing participants, as well as possess full sign language competence to converse unimpeded with the deaf participants.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Nurse assistant education or Child and Youth Program (focus on pedagogical and/or social work).
- Category B driver's license.
- Full Swedish sign language competence (fluent).
Merits:
- Experience working with the target group (LSS).
- Experience and knowledge of working with persons with mental disabilities.
