About the Position

Being a student assistant in Huddinge Municipality means having high expectations and a belief that all students can achieve success based on their prerequisites. You build good relationships, both with students and guardians, based on trust and respect. You are aware of your own influence on students' learning. Based on student results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate with the aim of developing the operation. We work with collegial learning, which means you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and the school's pedagogical work. We are now looking for a student assistant for our adapted primary school who, together with the work team, will carry out and develop our fine operation.

As a student assistant in adapted primary school and resource school, you will support students in all daily situations (school & leisure), such as lessons/activities, social learning situations, meals, care, and during breaks. You will work in a team consisting of class teachers and student assistants/pedagogical providers. The team around the students creates methods and approaches regarding students' development and learning together. Together with the team, you contribute to planning, implementing, and documenting the pedagogical work.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a childcare worker and have pedagogical experience with children and young people with the combined diagnoses ID (Intellectual Disability) and autism. You also have pedagogical experience with children and young people with multiple functional variations. Experience from working in adapted school or resource school is a requirement. You have education in or experience with students with care needs. Experience with, or willingness to learn, PEG, lifts, and tube feeding is a requirement. The person we are looking for has knowledge of sign language communication as well as experience with communication via picture support/objects. You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and experience with children/young people with ID. We are looking for you who are independent, stress-resistant, flexible, engaged, and have a good ability to collaborate. You need to be able to give a balanced and adapted high output and interaction with vitality, activity, and timing, as the specific conditions of the student group mean they are in need of this from the staff, who provide support in all daily situations.
