About the Workplace

Torsvik School is one of Sweden's most successful primary schools. Founded in 1907, it is Lidingö's most centrally located primary school for grades F-9, with only a 15-minute commute from the T-Centralen metro station. The proximity to public transport, the city center, and nature makes Torsvik School an exceptionally attractive workplace. The school welcomes approximately 800 students in grades F-9.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developmental environment for the students. You inspire students in their creation and promote their creative engagement. You collaborate with the textile craft teacher, and you become part of a team of dedicated and competent colleagues who view collaboration around the students' entire day as a prerequisite for creating wholeness and security for both students and adults.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to work as a teacher in wood and metal craft for grades 3-9 and have a teaching license in the subject. You have experience in pedagogical work and possess a good ability to lead and motivate students as well as create security in the classroom. The position includes mentorship, and we would appreciate it if you had the qualifications and experience to teach in additional subjects.

You find joy in meeting students based on all their differences, personalities, and abilities, and you wish to challenge them to develop. Furthermore, you are a clear and secure leader who easily creates engagement and participation in your teaching, and you are accustomed to working with digital tools. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. In this recruitment process, we place great emphasis on personal qualities as well as previous experience in having a similar role.

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Salary: The municipality applies individual salary setting.
