F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Swedish Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit
215 Logistics Platoon is a newly established unit at 162 Air Base Battalion. The platoon falls under 1621 Air Base Company and will conduct recruitment, training, and exercises throughout the year to achieve an initial capability with 1-2 platoons of employed soldiers. The platoon will undergo continued development to eventually support both 162 Air Base Battalion and other ground & air units with supplies, transport services, medical care, technical services, and command.
Main Responsibilities
As a Staff Assistant at 215 Logistics Platoon, you are part of the platoon leadership and are responsible for operating the platoon's command post, both in daily operations and during exercises, deployments, and operations, as well as participating in relocations and transports. You support the platoon leadership with situation monitoring, reporting, compilations, signaling/telephony, digital situational awareness, and order production. In daily work, you collaborate closely with the platoon commander and deputy, providing administrative support for reports, preparations, compilations, task follow-up, bookings, & orders.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed basic military training with a passing grade, or GMU (General Military Training) plus previous service as GSS (General Service Soldier)
- Category B driver's license
- Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Very good experience working with the Microsoft Office suite
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills, computer literacy, and excellent organizational skills. You are responsible and work well both independently and in small teams. To thrive in this position and at the unit, you should be curious about solving tasks and open-minded towards new assignments, training, and working methods. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current experience working as a Staff Assistant, Staff Aide, or similar role
- Experience working with the Swedish Armed Forces' other digital support systems, e.g., PRIO
- Military permits and authorizations, especially for heavy trucks

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment according to GSS/K agreement (6 years with possibility of extension up to 12 years). The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.

Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel
Working Hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during exercise activities

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Uppland Wing, F 16, is headquartered at the Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various roles within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which controls combat aircraft in the air and manages the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace.
