Defence Health Uppsala is now seeking a physiotherapist for a parental leave replacement position lasting 10 months. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with varied and stimulating tasks, contributing to good health and sustainable working lives for personnel at Uppsala Garrison. Excellent training facilities are available on-site, and exercise during working hours is encouraged.
About the Unit
F 16 Defence Health is an internal occupational health service for the Swedish Armed Forces' employees. Its mission is to provide promoting, preventive, and rehabilitative measures for staff at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Additionally, free healthcare is provided to conscripts, students, and cadets. Organisationally, Defence Health belongs to the 163rd Garrison Battalion and plays a vital role in addressing the tasks and challenges faced by Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces. Uppsala Garrison hosts several units, including the Air Staff, the Air Combat School, and the Swedish Armed Forces Intelligence and Security Centre. We offer services to all units and conscripts within the Garrison.
Main Responsibilities
As a physiotherapist within Defence Health, you will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels using a promoting, preventive, and rehabilitative approach. Your duties include individual treatments, educational initiatives, and development work for the business, both independently and in collaboration with our clients. You will work autonomously while maintaining close cooperation with other professional categories.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Examination, assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders
- Patient visits in the field and support during exercises
- Support for officers and managers
- Preventive measures such as screenings
- Fit-for-duty assessments
- Educational initiatives at group and organizational levels
- Workplace visits with consultative support, assessment, and action proposals
- Participation in rehabilitation work in consultation with other staff

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Trained / Licensed Physiotherapist
- 3 years of recent experience in primary care/outpatient care
- OMT (Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy) Level 1
- Valid Driver's License

QUALIFICATIONS
- Further education in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment, such as OMT Level 2 or 3, or equivalent.
- Further education in sports medicine/sports physiology
- Experience working in occupational health services and ergonomics
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with service/conscription within the Swedish Armed Forces

Workload: Full-time
Location: Uppsala. Service at other locations may occur.
Working Hours: Working hours are mainly weekdays and daytime, but service may also be scheduled for evenings and weekends.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Uppland Air Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and security of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various Air Force roles. The unit also commands the 161st Air Control and Air Defence Battalion, which controls fighter aircraft in the air and manages the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several locations across the country and forms an important part of the growth period the Air Force is currently experiencing.
