Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a School Nurse for Westerlundska Gymnasium. Enköping applies a structured student health work where you are part of a student health team. The team includes another school nurse, a school psychologist, five counselors, and five study and career advisors.

Your tasks include conducting health talks/check-ups, enrollment talks, and vaccinations according to the basic program for our students. In collaboration with school management and other school staff, student health constitutes an important support process to create good conditions for young people's health, learning, and development. All students, regardless of personal circumstances, should be given the opportunity to reach their goals and develop as far as possible.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with further education in open healthcare for children and youth, a district nurse, or have further education for school nurses. Previous experience working as a school nurse is considered an advantage.

The position also requires that you are accustomed to using the computer as a work tool. We use the journal system Prorenata.

You should be able to:

• Work independently but also together with your work team.
• Create good relationships with students and staff. You listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively and are careful with documentation and confidentiality.
• Be confident, stable, and have self-awareness. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and the professional, and behave in a way adapted to the situation.
• Put yourself in someone else's perspective or situations without taking over the person's feelings.
