About the job

The Food and Premises Care area provides well-prepared and nutritious meals to preschools, schools, and elderly care facilities in Lidköping Municipality.

Beyond this, you will have a role where the goal extends beyond the meal itself. You will work closely with all our different operations, and we see you working to inspire your guests to try new things while also contributing to a greater understanding of all perspectives surrounding food. We view the meal as an important part of the day as it provides energy and can help create safety and relaxation. We who work within the municipality's food service want to contribute to children and the elderly having a positive experience in connection with meals. You will have great opportunities for development and to influence your work.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the food unit's knowledgeable resource team, meaning you will get to know and work in most of our kitchens when needs arise. Being self-sufficient and ready to take great responsibility is important, as you will work both in groups and alone in our kitchens, where you may also replace the kitchen manager.

Data skills are required as orders, self-control, and statistics are handled digitally.

Who are you?

We see that you have a three-year upper secondary education; large kitchen and chef training or equivalent. If you have experience working in large kitchens, we consider this an advantage. We would like you to have good knowledge of various special diets. You must master Swedish in speech and writing. You have at least basic knowledge of the Office package, email, and similar programs. You have a B driver's license and access to a car.

We want you to be service-oriented and stress-resistant, with good collaboration and communication skills. You should be able to perform tasks independently, take initiative, and be flexible. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

The position is a permanent position.

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 28,700 SEK – 33,100 SEK, depending on experience, education, and competence.

The work requires a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record).

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are required to present a certificate of good conduct from the criminal record for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential care for youth), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
