General Psychiatric Outpatient Care for Young Adults is a specialized unit within the Health and Medical Services Administration that offers specialized care for mental illness and ill health. The catchment area includes Örebro Municipality and Lekeberg Municipality. Our mission is to investigate, treat, and rehabilitate individuals aged 18–24 who are referred to our unit via referral or who apply on their own. The clinic is a well-functioning unit with approximately 24 employees, including psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, care assistants, treatment assistants, doctors, rehabilitation coordinators, medical care administrators, and the unit manager. The counselor group consists of two social workers with varied assignments. Treatment and psycho-pedagogical interventions take place both individually and in groups, as well as through digital consultations. The work environment is important to us, and we continuously invest in improvements, ongoing development of methods, processes, and ways of working. We also supervise students and new colleagues.
We collaborate with primary care, habilitation, user organizations, the municipality's social psychiatry, and other healthcare partners.
At Örebro University Hospital, wellness activities such as gym access and group training are offered.
We are located at Örebro University Hospital, close to the bus and train stations and Örebro's beautiful city park.
