Do you have a strong interest in caring for the elderly with cognitive impairment and do you want to be part of building sustainable care and support for the future? Now is your chance to become part of our team at the family-like Lindhultsgården. We welcome your application!
About the position
Lindhultsgården is Örebro Municipality's smallest special housing facility with a total of 24 apartments, which contributes to close collaboration between departments in a safe atmosphere. As a nurse here, you, together with a nursing colleague, play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our residents. You will have care responsibility for 8 to 12 of our residents, which among other things involves mentoring in care, health, and medical tasks.
Here we work preventively in teams with nurses, occupational therapists, care staff, and the unit manager to create good and safe care. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region. For us, it is important to base our work on a person-centered and rehabilitative approach, focusing on the wishes and needs of our residents. Our residents like animals, so they are welcome here, and therefore you as an applicant should be able to work close to pets.
Here you have the opportunity to become part of an engaged work group where your competencies and ideas as a nurse are valued!
Examples of tasks:
- decide on, carry out, and follow up on care measures
- be responsible for mentoring and education in care
- instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to the care staff
- maintain contact with and provide support to relatives
- document in various quality registers and operation systems
- participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations
About the workplace
Lindhultsgården's special housing facility is beautifully located near nature in the residential area of Adolfsberg. We are Örebro Municipality's smallest special housing facility and have three departments with a total of 24 apartments, focusing on cognitive impairment. We have received the Star Mark diploma, which is proof that we as workers have basic knowledge of dementia diseases and tools to work in a person-centered way.
