Clinical Microbiology is looking for a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist. Our unit boasts broad microbiological expertise, and we perform diagnostics within bacteriological culture, molecular biology, as well as virus and bacterial serology.

We are looking for you who want to work as a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist in our culture laboratory. We offer a varied job with good development opportunities at a unit that is at the forefront both in terms of analyses and instrumentation. Our unit is research-intensive, and operational development is a natural part of the work. We also have national and international reference assignments within microbiology. Here, you will work in a positive team of approximately 50 people, where we together tackle challenges and changes.

Licensed Biomedical Laboratory Scientist. Previous experience with culture diagnostics is meritorious.

The Laboratory Medicine operational area has a consolidated responsibility for the laboratory medicine service provided at the laboratories within Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. We run a broad operation within the areas of clinical chemistry, bacteriology, virology, immunology, transfusion medicine including therapeutic plasma exchange treatment, pathology, cytology, and molecular genetics. The operational area also encompasses Sterile Technology. Nearly 300 people work here with routine diagnostics, research and development, as well as education.
