F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. About the Unit

The 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and soon also the Training Company. Together, they create the conditions for assigned units to focus on their main tasks. The battalion's role and tasks are evolving rapidly to meet the new challenges facing Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Garrison Company is responsible for garrison coordination at Uppsala Garrison. The company houses the garrison's dispatch and archives, sports service, dog service, operations service including training, case handlers with various areas of expertise, administrators, and caretakers.

Main Responsibilities

As a storekeeper for the service group on the support platoon, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and care of the garrison's shooting ranges, training areas, and facilities. You will provide support during training, exercises, and operations. In addition to these duties, you will perform simpler property maintenance, caretaking, and administrative work. You will also handle tasks that may arise with short notice and support other employees on the platoon.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills
• Category B driver's license

• Previous work experience as a caretaker/property maintenance worker
• Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces

• Operator's license for wheel loaders

• Previous work on training and shooting ranges

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Uppland Air Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various Air Force positions. The unit also leads the 161st Command and Control Battalion, which directs combat aircraft in the air and manages the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace.
