to apply for the job
This is your chance to work practically with construction and modular production, join an exciting growth journey, and develop in a role where every day is varied and educational. We are looking for you who want to be part of the Adapteo team, where your contribution makes a difference in production, for the environment, and in society. At Adapteo, you become part of a tight-knit and non-hierarchical group where everyone helps each other and has fun together. We look forward to your application!
About the role
Adapteo is the leading provider in the Nordics of flexible, modular, and sustainable building solutions, ranging from offices and schools to housing and healthcare facilities. The company builds adaptable structures that can be scaled up, scaled down, moved, or reused. Adapteo uses a circular business model that extends the lifespan of modules, uses resources efficiently, and minimizes the carbon footprint, with a focus on reuse, resource efficiency, and fossil-free transport.
Adapteo is currently building a new, state-of-the-art facility in Uppsala, an investment that brings the workshop, warehouse, offices, and showroom under one roof, becoming a key part of the company's future production and growth. As a module repair technician at Adapteo, you will have a unique role where you help build, repair, and improve modular solutions from start to finish. You will start with thorough training, beginning with demolition, where you drive in modules, remove what needs to be taken out, and prepare them for production. Depending on the project, experience, and your strengths, you will then have the opportunity to specialize in a specific station or work area, such as caulking, painting, flooring, installation of sewage and radiators, roof and panel work, and final preparation for transport. In this way, you will learn step by step and grow into the part of production that suits you best.
A typical day begins with the team gathering to review the day's plan together with colleagues and supervisors. Throughout the day, you work closely with your colleagues, learn new tasks, share ideas, and contribute to improvements in the workflow. The role is practical, varied, and developmental; you continuously build your skills and take responsibility. The work initially takes place at Adapteo's hub in Enköping, but eventually, everything will move to the new state-of-the-art facility in Uppsala, where you will be part of an exciting growth journey.
This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Adapteo. The assignment will be full-time and long-term. There are very good chances of permanent employment, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.
