A glimpse of the role

As a Component Responsible Technician, you work with specific groups within the core operations and are responsible for quality, economics, manufacturing methods, and lead time. The role serves as the link between design concepts and optimized manufacturing processes – a central part of production.

In the team in Finspång, you contribute to adapting products for production and optimizing costs. The development of manufacturing processes is driven forward, process preparations are created, and the prerequisites for efficient work in the workshops are ensured. You are responsible for the component's preparation, cost structure, and manufacturing method at the system level, but not for ongoing production follow-up. There is close cooperation with both product development and manufacturing to solve technical challenges with smart, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. It is important to be on-site in Finspång, as the work is performed in close collaboration with production.

How you make an impact

• Reviewing drawing documentation and drawing changes, as well as creating process preparations for both existing and new components.
• Participating in product development to adapt products for production and optimize flow/costs for new manufacturing processes.
• Driving continuous cost reduction through method development and the application of new technology.
• Following up on product cost development within your own area of responsibility and updating relevant systems according to schedule.
• Cooperating with purchasing and technology transfer through supplier development.
• You are a natural collaboration partner for design, purchasing, and production; your assessments carry weight when we are to find the right way forward.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and some years of experience in production technology or preparation work within the manufacturing industry.
• Advantageous with production technology education and relevant work experience.
• Good knowledge of reading drawings and product economics.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Driven and interested in developing production and IT competence, as a large part of the work takes place in PLM and SAP.

About the team

The team consists of approximately 14 people with solid and senior competence in their technical areas. The work is characterized by a flat hierarchy where collaboration, openness, and a good atmosphere are central. Here, knowledge is shared, support is provided, and it is ensured that both the work and the working environment function in the best possible way.

Within the Gas Services division, we offer energy solutions with zero or low emissions based on our gas turbines gathered under one roof, along with steam turbines and generators.
