Tingsbrogården is a dementia care facility beautifully located in Bro parish, approximately one mile northeast of Visby. There are four wards with eight residents each, surrounded by peaceful and accessible outdoor environments. We work according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), where each resident receives an individually tailored implementation plan that reflects their needs, wishes, and life situation.

Your Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant or residential assistant at Tingsbrogården, you work closely with your colleagues to promote the quality of life for the elderly through a rehabilitative approach. You encourage and support the individual in maintaining their routines, habits, and independence as much as possible.

The role includes standard care tasks such as personal care, household chores, medication administration, and other delegated healthcare services. You also contribute to an active and social life through accompaniment and activities. Palliative care is also a natural and important part of our work, where we provide support with care and professionalism to both the individual and their relatives.

As a nursing assistant, you will serve as a dedicated care contact, responsible for creating and following up on implementation plans, documenting, contacting relatives, and handling some administration. The position also includes being a contact person.

You will work in close collaboration with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff. Together, we create good care and support with the individual in focus.

Working hours follow a basic schedule with day, evening, and every other weekend shifts.

The salary range for nursing assistants in special housing is 29,400 - 34,000 SEK/month.

The salary range for residential assistants in special housing is 24,922 - 30,725 SEK/month.

Who are you?

We are primarily looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant. To be employed in this role, you must meet the requirements to use the protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations.

As a residential assistant, you need to have a high school education, preferably with a focus on care and support, such as healthcare assistant.

Education and/or experience in working with the elderly and people with dementia, as well as end-of-life care, is meritorious. Experience with quality registers such as Senior Alert and BPSD is also meritorious.

As a person, you are confident in yourself and your role, and you act with good judgment and a professional approach even in complex situations. You are flexible and development-oriented, with a willingness to adapt to new conditions and contribute to continuous improvements. Through your good collaboration skills, you create trusting relationships and work effectively together with others towards common goals.

You are structured in your work approach and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and create order even when tasks are varied. With your pedagogical insight, you meet people in a listening and professional manner, and you are good at explaining, guiding, and adapting your communication to the recipient's needs.

You are confident in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as all communication and documentation takes place in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car, as public transport schedules do not always align with shift work in elderly care.
