Do you have experience in information management and want to work strategically with all available information throughout its lifecycle? Have you worked in a registry with mapping, control, and management of information flows? You are welcome to apply to a growing authority with an important societal mission!

The Fortification Board is a government agency and one of Sweden's largest property owners. Our mission is to ensure there are secure properties so that we can protect Sweden in the event of a crisis or war. We own socially important buildings and bunkers, properties on garrison areas, airfields, and naval bases. We have a long history dating back to 1635 when Fortification was formed. This means that the Fortification Board's property portfolio is different and unique, consisting of new high-tech properties to very old and culturally protected buildings and facilities.

Your daily life as a Business Developer in an authority with societal responsibility

The Information Management Unit consists of nearly 35 employees and is divided into three groups; The Registry, responsible for the authority's diary, The Archive Group which maintains our archives, and The Drawing Management which primarily supports our investment and renovation projects. The unit controls, coordinates, and follows up on these areas and owns the process "Handle Information". Another task is to ensure that the entire authority receives help with the materials they need in a timely manner and with high quality, as well as that the public receives answers and help regarding public documents. The unit handles a lot of security-classified material.

We are currently reviewing the handling of the authority's information assets. We conduct information mapping, revise the classification structure, and take a holistic approach to the diary/control/distribution of our information flows. As a Business Developer, you will have a key role in this work. You are responsible for ensuring that correct, current, and accessible information is available throughout the entire information lifecycle. The information should be easily accessible for our operations; everything from planning and design to management and decommissioning of properties. A key part here is to create a data-driven operation. You will collaborate closely with our Information Controller but also with the IT architects.

You need to be comfortable with conducting training in the area.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the signals security work (security-classified information) within the registry at the authority. Some business travel may be relevant and these can be planned.

It is a requirement that you have previously worked with management/control of information and that you have worked in a registry, preferably within the public or municipal sector. It is also a requirement that you have training in signals security.

You have very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English. You also have good computer skills in the most common IT systems. A driver's license, class B, is a requirement for the position.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working as an object specialist/system specialist in PM3.
  • Experience with information mapping.
  • Experience with quality assurance of routines.
  • Very good knowledge of a case management system, for example, Platina.
  • Knowledge of Smart Documents.
  • Experience as a trainer in information management and the principle of public access.

Your personal qualities are very important to us. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. The following personal qualities are important to fit the role:

  • Collaborative: The role involves many contact surfaces and you need to be able to work without hierarchy and create good relationships and collaborations.
  • Result-oriented: You work purposefully and persistently and take responsibility for ensuring the delivery maintains high quality.
  • Persuasive: You communicate clearly and argue persuasively and create engagement around you.
  • Creative: We also want you to have a solution-oriented approach to tasks.

What do we offer you?

Together with approximately 1500 colleagues at the Fortification Board across the country, you work with a unique property portfolio to strengthen the total defense in Sweden. We are proud of the socially important mission we have, where by owning, developing, and managing properties for the total defense, we contribute to a safe and free Sweden. Our tasks are varied, exciting, and challenging and require competence. We work based on the core of the government's value base and we strive for equal gender distribution. Equal rights and opportunities are important to us. Our workplace is located just a few minutes' walk from the travel center.
