Do you want to help build the future of raw material handling in a high-tech research environment? Do you thrive in a hybrid role where you work both operationally in the lab and strategically with process development? Then this might be the assignment for you! Adecco's client, Olink, is now looking for a Development Engineer for their Lab Support team within R&D in Uppsala.

About the assignment

As a Development Engineer, you will become part of an engaged and solution-oriented team of approximately eight people. The team is responsible for the R&D lab's infrastructure and supports product development projects.

Olink is in an exciting development phase where a completely new competency group for raw material handling is being established. In this role, you will be involved from the start – not only working operationally with raw materials, but also contributing to developing structures, working methods, and standards for the future.

You will play a key role in:

  • Ensuring that the right materials are in place at the right time
  • Quality-assuring handling processes
  • Driving the development and implementation of new working methods, including LIMS and other system support

Your main responsibilities

  • Receive and register samples and raw material deliveries
  • Perform laboratory work related to the processing and handling of raw materials
  • Pick, sort, and store materials in cold and freezer systems
  • Operate pipetting robots and other laboratory equipment
  • Participate in ongoing lab maintenance (lab care)
  • Contribute to the establishment and implementation of the raw material group's working methods
  • Develop, optimize, and document processes and workflows
  • Write instructions (SOPs) for new methods and instruments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams within Olink

This is a consultancy assignment through Adecco, starting immediately. The assignment is expected to run until December 31st, with the possibility of extension.

About you

We are looking for someone who

  • Is educated as a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist (BMLS) or has equivalent laboratory-oriented education
  • Has experience from hospital labs or biobanks
  • Has experience in process development and/or has initiated lab projects previously
  • Has a very good understanding of laboratory-oriented systems such as LIMS
  • Is familiar with pipetting
  • Has very good computer literacy
  • Is very comfortable with both Swedish and English, in speaking and writing, as this is required to perform the job
  • Wants to work with routine tasks but also develop and improve working methods
