Do you want to make a difference from the students' very first school year? We are looking for you who have a good understanding of how students acquire knowledge for the position of teacher in grades F-3 at Almtuna School. Almtuna School is a municipal primary school in Uppsala offering education from preschool class to grade 6. The school has approximately 580 students and around 60 employees and is characterized by the vision "Through safety, joy, and participation, we reach our goals." At Almtuna School, we work systematically with quality, collegial learning, and an inclusive approach to ensure that all students are given good conditions for success.

The school is led by the principal and deputy principal and has well-functioning structures for collaboration, student health services, and pedagogical development. We actively work on safety and study environment, among other things through IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools).

Almtuna School is currently temporarily housed in Brantinska School's newly built premises, where operations are conducted while the school's regular premises are being renovated and expanded.

Description of Duties

As a teacher in grades F-3, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum. The teacher's assignment includes, among other things:

• planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on regulatory documents
• creating structure, safety, and peace in the classroom
• following up on and documenting students' development and learning
• collaborating with the work team, student health services, and guardians
• actively participating in the school's joint development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades F-3 in Swedish and Mathematics. You have good knowledge of the curriculum and regulatory documents for preschool class and lower primary school, as well as experience teaching in grades F-3. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching with high quality and have the ability to create a safe, structured, and language-developing learning environment for the students. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and use digital tools naturally in teaching, documentation, and collaboration.

You have strong collaborative skills and work attentively and smoothly together with others in your work team. Through your relationship-building approach, you build trust, create good contacts, and maintain professional relationships in everyday life. With your pedagogical insight, you easily understand people's different conditions and adapt how you convey information so that the message gets through.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship.
