At Olaus Petri Health Centre, we have a team of competent, professional, and experienced midwives. We are currently looking for a new midwife as one of our current staff members has chosen to study to become a teacher. We have a strong interest and great commitment to our work. We strive to leverage our differences and various competencies to offer our patients the best possible care.
Olaus Petri Health Centre is located in central Örebro and, with just over 21,900 registered residents, is the largest health centre in Örebro city. Olaus Petri Maternity Clinic (BMM) and Child Health Centre (BVC) moved out of the health centre into completely new premises in November 2021 and are now located at Fredsgatan 23. Our catchment area includes villa areas, multi-family houses, and rural areas, which means a varied patient workload.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a midwife at our maternity clinic, you will have an stimulating and independent job, with the opportunity to make a significant difference for the individual woman and her family.
Your main duties include pregnancy monitoring, contraceptive counseling/prescribing, gynecological health checks, telephone advice, and parent groups. Counseling regarding lifestyle habits is also part of your responsibilities.
QualificationsYou are a registered midwife with prescribing rights. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. It is important that you are responsible, positive, flexible, non-hierarchical, and have good teamwork skills and a professional attitude towards both patients and colleagues. Since your work is very independent, you must be driven and accustomed to structuring your own work.
You see contributing to the development and change projects of the practice as a natural part of your work. The primary healthcare's health-promoting mission is a central part of the operation, so interest in lifestyle issues is an advantage.
