About the workplace

The Safety Alarm service in Uddevalla Municipality is part of the home care service, tasked with handling incoming alarms quickly and professionally. We create security and quality for people with safety alarms, where support is needed the most.

We are a dedicated team that uses welfare technology and digital tools to work efficiently and safely. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to stay at home for as long as possible, with security in everyday life.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in the Safety Alarm service, you are a key person who creates security and dignity for our users at night. You provide professional care where it is needed most and work together with a colleague in a dedicated team, always focused on making a difference, every night.

The work involves night shifts and work every other weekend. You need to be a confident and responsible driver who feels comfortable driving in all weather conditions, as the entire municipality is your workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • receiving and responding to safety alarms
  • handling event signals from medication equipment
  • conducting remote supervisions
  • documenting according to current routines
  • collaborating closely with the home care night organization when rapid interventions are needed

We are looking for someone who is curious about digital technology, can remain calm under pressure, and wants to work with welfare technology as a natural part of daily life. You will also actively contribute to the development of working methods and routines; together, we are creating the care of the future.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a nursing assistant for the Safety Alarm service.

We are looking for you who is:

  • Stress-resistant – Alarms can involve high-pressure situations, so it is important to remain calm.
  • Flexible – The workday can vary significantly depending on which alarms come in.
  • Tech-savvy – You work independently with digital tools and welfare technology, so you need to feel comfortable with technology.
  • Good communicator – You need to be able to communicate clearly and kindly with both users and colleagues.
  • Empathetic – Possess the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations with respect and care.
  • Team player – Is responsible and solution-oriented, while also being a team player who always works together with a colleague and collaborates with the home care night organization.

Qualifications

  • Trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title
  • At least 1 year of experience working in home care
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Valid Category B driver's license

Other Information

This is a rotational position.

Interviews may take place continuously during the application period.

For positions requiring a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, this must be submitted prior to employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can become relevant.

Criminal record checks are conducted for all employment within the Social Services Administration.

For employment within HVB (Home for Care or Habilitation) operations, the HVB extract is requested.

For employment within operations targeting children with disabilities, the Children with Disabilities extract and a control of personal data are requested.

For other employment within the Social Services Administration, the Control of Personal Data extract is requested.

If the extract is not digital, it must be brought in an unopened envelope in connection with the check.
