We are now looking for an independent sterilization technician who understands the importance of good service and a welcoming attitude.

About Us

The General Dentistry clinic in Partille is the region's largest clinic with approximately 50 employees. The clinic is located in the center, next to the Allum shopping center. Communications within the municipality and to Gothenburg are very good. It takes about 10 minutes to central Gothenburg by train, bus, or car.

The clinic's opening hours are 7:00–19:00 Monday to Wednesday, and 7:00–16:00 Thursday and Friday. Folktandvården Partille is a clinical training facility (VFU) and hosts students in their final term of the dentistry and dental hygienist programs at the University of Gothenburg. We work in a positive spirit where business development is a natural part of everyday life. Job Responsibilities

Working in the sterilization department at a dental clinic requires knowledge of basic hygiene routines and how sterilization equipment functions. You work with functional checks, instrument care, and packaging of instruments, as well as starting and monitoring disinfection processes. You are also responsible for ensuring that the business is conducted in accordance with established goals and the regulations in place at Folktandvården.

The position includes, among other things:

• Responsibility for operations in the sterilization department, such as cleaning instruments and similar tasks.
• Responsibility for ensuring that hygiene routines in the sterilization department are followed.
• The work is independent with varying tasks. If you are a dental nurse (tandsköterska) applying for the position, assistance and other usual dental nurse tasks may also become relevant.
• Supervision of students may also be part of the role.

The position is a fixed-term appointment of approximately 12 months, with a possibility of extension.

Competency Requirements and Profile

We want you to be/have:

• Education as a sterilization technician or dental nurse with an approved education from MYH (The Swedish Authority for Higher Vocational Education).
• Knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way.
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do.
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening manner.
• Interest in and good knowledge of hygiene and sterilization work.

About the Recruitment Process

The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in the suspicion and burden registers before employment.
