Description

Skolfam is a collaboration model between schools and social services regarding the schooling of children placed in foster care. The operational work is based in a cross-professional team consisting of a psychologist, special educator, child welfare secretary, and foster care secretary. Skolfam aims to create better future prospects for children in foster care by focusing on good educational outcomes. Your role will be to contribute your psychological expertise to the team. Duties include, among other things, conducting psychological tests, supervising staff, and, together with the special educator, child welfare secretary, and foster care secretary, planning and following up on interventions for individual children.

Skolfam has a national reach, and the number of municipalities using the Skolfam model is increasing. These municipalities form networks that meet both within and across professional boundaries a few times a year. Trollhättan belongs to the West region, and the team is offered regular supervision together with other teams in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

You and your colleague, the special educator in the team, will organizationally belong to the Education Administration/Student Support. However, in your daily work, you will collaborate with the Foster Care Unit within Social Services, as well as the home schools of the children placed in foster care. The Foster Care Unit is a unit within the Family Support Area of the Employment and Social Administration. Qualifications

We are looking for you who;

• Are a licensed psychologist with experience working with children, preferably in the school setting.
• Have good knowledge of testing instruments and experience meeting children in testing situations.
• Have strong analytical skills.
• Have an approach focused on seeking strengths and resources in the individual.
• Can emphasize the individual's opportunities for development in both schoolwork and behavior and interaction.
• Have good collaboration skills and experience supervising educators.
• Are solution-focused, seeing opportunities instead of obstacles, and above all, see possibilities in joint work across professional boundaries.
• Are open to working with flexible hours and have a driver's license.

The job requires good ability to structure and delineate tasks as well as the ability to collaborate with different professions. We value life experience and place great importance on personal qualities.
