Trafikverket is the client for this assignment, which involves providing a resource consultant based in Gothenburg. The assignment is located within the Road Project Unit 3, under the Investment Business Area, Western Region.

About the Role

Trafikverket is looking for an experienced Road Project Engineer for a consultancy assignment in Gothenburg. The role involves working as a resource consultant and supporting one or more project managers within road infrastructure projects.

The assignment also includes assisting other project units within the IVvr business area as needed, within the framework of the specified degree of employment. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer to employees at Trafikverket regarding the tasks you perform.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Road Project Engineer, you will among other things:

• Assist one or more project managers
• Support planning, administration, and follow-up
• Work with monitoring of time, cost, content, risks, resources, quality, safety, environment, and working environment
• Assist the project manager in internal and external contacts
• Participate in meetings with consultants and contractors
• Prepare materials for follow-up of deliveries from contractors
• Provide suggestions for decisions on measures, action alternatives, and resource usage within the project's framework
• Contribute to ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with laws, regulations, guidelines, ordinances, as well as internal working methods and processes

Competency Requirements

We expect you to meet all the mandatory requirements listed below, which should be clearly evident in your CV:

• Academic education with a technical focus, at least 120 credits in economics, technology, or construction, or equivalent knowledge assessed by the client as comparable
• At least 5 years of experience, with at least 50% employment in the role, over the last 5 years working in road infrastructure projects as a project engineer, contracting engineer, project coordinator, or project economist
• At least 2 of the 5 years mentioned above must have been continuous in one assignment
• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, scheduling, and financial management in projects
• Certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at least according to the requirements in step 2.2
• Driver's license for passenger car

Assignment Period: From contract entry into force until 2027-09-30

Physical Presence: Trafikverket's office in Gothenburg 5 days per week
