About the Company

The assignment is located with Trafikverket in Gothenburg, at Vikingsgatan 2–4.
About the Role
Trafikverket is looking for a resource consultant as a sub-project manager within scheduling for the Contact Line Factory (Kontaktledningsfabriken), a national program aimed at developing project activities related to the replacement of overhead contact lines, contact line foundations, and the upgrading of the electric power system.
In this role, you will work with qualified program and project planning within Investment West, Railway Unit 2. The work will primarily take place within the Contact Line Factory, but may also include other railway projects within the unit.
As a sub-project manager, you have primary responsibility for the leadership, control, and follow-up of all activities related to scheduling, leading the work through all project phases. During production, work may take place on-site/in the field, and travel to projects may occur. Work on weekends, evenings, and nights may be required.
The assignment also includes knowledge transfer within scheduling and follow-up through training sessions for employees at Trafikverket as well as suppliers.
Role and Responsibilities
As a sub-project manager within scheduling, you will among other things:
- Coordinate the implementation of the Contact Line Factory's measures with other VO units at Trafikverket
- Lead the project's and the Contact Line Factory's work within scheduling
- Develop procedures and templates for scheduling within the unit's procurements
- Participate in the unit's work with project schedules
- Develop training materials and conduct training in scheduling, procedures, and tools
- Develop requirements for scheduling in procurement documents
- Check contractors' and consultants' documentation regarding planning and scheduling
- Check contractors' and consultants' personnel regarding competence and authorization
- Actively participate in design, construction, and economic meetings
- Provide feedback on contractors' and consultants' follow-up and reporting of schedules
- Check schedules and other documents, and compare/check at the contractor's work area when work is ongoing in the field
- Together with the project manager, ensure that the assigned contract is carried out in accordance with the contract and other documents
- Act as the project's counterpart to contractors' and consultants' schedulers
- Check and follow up that set requirements are met
- Participate in contact with authorities, contractors/consultants, and property owners
- Handle deviations from requirements related to scheduling within contracts
- Follow up on schedules, incurred costs, and other orders, and assist with forecasts of the project/contract's final cost
- Participate in procurement
- Follow up on technology, economics, time, quality, environment, working environment, and safety, and report further
- Report contractors'/consultants' progress and status monthly
- Maintain contact with the main contractor and external parties affected by the project
- Coordinate with technical branches and adjacent contracts
- Follow up on work in the design and production phases

Competency Requirements
We expect you to meet all the following mandatory requirements, which should be clearly stated in your CV:
- University or college degree of at least 180 credits in civil engineering, technology, or another area relevant to the position, or alternatively other education combined with experience that Trafikverket considers equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in qualified scheduling within infrastructure, industry, and energy, of which at least 4 years in complex projects where scheduling has been the primary area of responsibility
- Experience in scheduling using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent as assessed by Trafikverket
- Valid driver's license for passenger car
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

- Access to a personal car
Trafikverket provides a computer and a workspace at Trafikverket's office on Vikingsgatan in Gothenburg.
Assignment Information
Assignment Period: until 2028-10-31
Extension Option: 1 + 1 + 1 years
Scope: 80–100%
Location: Gothenburg, Vikingsgatan 2–4
Physical Presence: 5 days per week at Trafikverket's office in Gothenburg
