About the workplace

The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Galaxskolan is a preschool to year 6 school located in the Steninge district of Märsta, close to nature and Lake Mälaren. Here, dedicated and qualified staff work to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop solid knowledge. Our mission is to provide students with a school experience characterized by safety, well-being, knowledge, development, curiosity, creativity, and joy.

We want all students to leave Galaxskolan with positive memories from their school days and good opportunities to freely choose their path in working life in the future. The operations are characterized by cooperation, professionalism, and a strong belief in every child's ability to grow and reach their full potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You should be able to lead teaching in the teaching group together with another teacher and support staff. The role also includes mentorship responsibility for between 4 and 6 students. You will also be deeply involved in the work of establishing this newly started operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education relevant to the role, meaning you are both a certified teacher and a special needs teacher.

The position also requires solid knowledge of autism and experience in pedagogical work with students with this disability. This requires a commitment to the students' development and progression.

As a person, you are structured and plan your work in a systematic way. You are relationship-building and have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are team-oriented and enjoy working together with others to create good conditions for students' learning and development.

Personal suitability will weigh heavily in the recruitment for this position.
