RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an economist for the social services department, placed within the Municipal Executive Board Administration, Economics Unit. Our current administration economist is moving on to a new assignment within the unit.

Your main tasks will consist of budgeting, follow-up, reporting, and analysis. By participating in management group and committee meetings, you will serve as support to the administration management as well as to the politicians in the committee regarding economic matters.

The work also involves overall economic management at the central level, including examples such as year-end accounts, reporting, supplier invoices, journal entries, and other common tasks within the economics department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education in economics, or have another background combined with knowledge and experience that the employer considers equivalent, and who are meticulous and structured in your work approach.

You have a good ability to explain economic relationships in a pedagogical manner to different levels of management and politicians, and you also have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You need to have knowledge within reporting, budgeting, follow-up, and analysis, as well as an interest in development work within the economic field. You also need to be comfortable using Excel and other systems in your work.

Experience working in a politically governed organization and experience in economic work within the social services area, as well as knowledge of the economic system Raindance, are meritorious for this position.
