LetsGig AB is now seeking an experienced Project Engineer for road and civil engineering for a long-term consulting assignment in Gothenburg. The assignment is full-time, 100%, and is performed on-site in Gothenburg five days a week.

This is a qualified assignment for you who are accustomed to working closely with project managers in larger road and civil engineering projects and who thrive in a role where you combine project administration, monitoring, economics, scheduling, risk, quality, and coordination.

About the assignment

As a Project Engineer, you will support one or more project managers in planning, administration, and monitoring of projects. The role includes, among other things, work with time, cost, content, risks, resources, quality, safety, environment, and working environment.

You will also participate in internal and external contacts, contribute to meetings with consultants and contractors, and prepare materials for monitoring deliveries from contractors.

The role requires that you are structured, self-initiating, and confident in working in complex project environments with multiple stakeholders.

Workplace and scope

The assignment is performed in Gothenburg.

The scope is full-time, 100%, 40 hours per week.

Physical presence is required at the office in Gothenburg five days a week.

The assignment start is planned for September 2026. The latest possible start is September 14, 2026. Start may possibly occur from September 1, 2026.

The assignment initially runs until September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension for up to an additional 2 years.

Business travel may occur within the framework of the assignment.

Responsibilities

You will among other things work with:

  • Planning, administration, and project monitoring.
  • Monitoring of schedules, costs, content, risks, and resources.
  • Support to project managers in daily project work.
  • Coordination between project managers, consultants, contractors, and internal functions.
  • Preparation of materials for monitoring contractor deliveries.
  • Documentation, meeting administration, and reporting.
  • Work with quality, safety, environment, and working environment issues.
  • Contribute with decision support, alternative courses of action, and proposals for measures within the project's framework.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet all the requirements below:

  • You have an academic education of at least 120 credits in economics, engineering, or civil engineering, or equivalent knowledge that can be verified through experience.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the last 5 years of working in road and civil engineering projects in one of the roles project engineer, contracting engineer, project coordinator, or project economist.
  • The relevant experience must have been at least 50% full-time equivalent.
  • At least 2 of the 5 years must have been consecutive in one and the same assignment.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in risk management, scheduling, and economic management in projects.
  • You have very good proficiency with the Office package.
  • You have very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
  • You have a valid driver's license (Category B).
  • You have, or can obtain, APV certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 at least step 2.2 no later than two months from the start of the assignment.
  • You can work on-site in Gothenburg five days a week.
  • You can verify your experience through CV and relevant reference assignments with clear information about role, assignment period, scope, responsibilities, and reference person.

Merits

  • It is a merit if you already have a valid APV certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 step 2.2.
  • It is a merit if you have previously worked in larger public infrastructure projects.
  • It is a merit if you have experience from road projects with contractor monitoring, project economics, risk work, and scheduling.
  • It is a merit if you have previously worked in roles where you supported project managers in both administrative and project management parts.
  • It is a merit if you are accustomed to working in environments with high demands on documentation, quality, safety, working environment, and confidentiality.

Personal qualities

We are looking for you who are meticulous, structured, and self-initiating. You have good cooperation skills, are solution-oriented, and can handle several parallel issues without losing control of the details.

You need to be confident in dialogue with both internal project functions and external parties such as consultants and contractors. The role suits you who are practical, administratively strong, and accustomed to creating order in larger projects.
