The Hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital that provides a wide range of specialized care, both acute and planned. Around the clock, we offer healthcare with quality and accessibility, holistic vision, and care as our hallmarks. Approximately 5,000 surgeries are performed here annually, with one-third being emergency surgeries. We plan to increase our capacity and efficiency as we are currently undergoing a major renovation to improve the working environment and logistics, enabling us to meet future needs.

The surgical department consists of general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and orthopedics. Our patients span a wide age range, from children to older adults. Job Description

We are now looking for a specialist nurse with a focus on anesthesia.

As an anesthesia nurse, you work in teams within perioperative care. You also participate in emergency calls and patient transport. We offer stimulating work with varying patient flows. We have five operating rooms in central surgery and one day surgery operating room in another building. The emergency operations consist of a mix of surgical treatments such as orthopedics, surgery/urology, and cesarean sections. We have a preoperative ward, an anesthesia nurse clinic, and some staffing for the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

We take into account your individual needs and prior knowledge, and we work closely with you to create an introduction plan tailored specifically for you.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. You are trained as a specialist nurse with a focus on anesthesia care. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 on the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. We would prefer that you have at least two years of experience as an anesthesia nurse.
