Are you looking for a varied, independent, and important job? We are now strengthening our team with a support assistant who meets the residents of Lund who receive support and services within our LSS operations.

About the workplace and role

We are now looking for support assistants for LSS Housing Area 1, which consists of two group homes: Asks väg and Orkestervägen. In this position, you will have a fixed placement at one of the homes but will also support the other home when needed.

As a support assistant, you support our users with individually adapted help, such as shopping, cooking, care, cleaning, and leisure activities. Through pedagogical support, alternative communication, and care, you and the work team work to provide users with good living conditions and independence. Experience in working with clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approach is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is sensitive and flexible in picking up the users' individual needs. We would like you to thrive in a dynamic work environment with a strong focus on motivation work and user participation.

The duties also include developing implementation plans, documenting, and conducting regular evaluations. As a contact person, you will collaborate and communicate with parents, relatives, guardians/administrators, and colleagues.

About us

The units are located in the eastern part of Lund, and our users have varying needs for support and care.

You will belong to a work group with good atmosphere and structure, so we are looking for someone who solves situations through communication with colleagues and has a drive forward.

Working hours are day, evening, and every other weekend. The earliest shift starts at 07:00 and the latest ends at 23:00. These are approximate times that may change based on user needs. In Lund, you work as a support assistant/assistant 36.33 hours per week.

Asks väg: The nearest bus stop is Lund Linero Torg, a two-minute walk from the home. Paid parking is available outside the home.

Orkestervägen: The nearest bus stop is Lund Tusenårslunden, a one-minute walk from the home. There are a few free parking spaces outside the home; otherwise, street parking is available in the surrounding area.

Qualifications

• Approved grades from the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, Society and Behavior, or other education that the employer deems equivalent are meritorious.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• Knowledge and experience of low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy.
• Basic skills in digital work tools.
• Experience/knowledge of care.
• Driver's license required.
