We are currently looking for a Junior Data Engineer for a consulting assignment with our client in a socially vital sector. The assignment is part of a larger initiative focused on modern data platforms for analytics, statistical production, machine learning, and automation.

As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to develop in a modern data and analytics environment, working alongside experienced Data Engineers, developers, and business experts. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of data platforms, data flows, and analytics solutions, with a focus on Python, data lakes, container technology, and open platform components.

The assignment is part of the development of a shared technical platform that supports data processing, analytics, and machine learning in a secure and modern environment.

In this role, you will primarily:

• Participate in the development and maintenance of data flows (pipelines) for data collection, storage, and processing.
• Work with Python-based development within data management and analytics.
• Contribute to the development of data platforms based on data lakes and modern platform architectures.
• Work with code version control in Git-based environments.
• Participate in the development and use of containerized applications.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, developers, and business representatives in cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to quality assurance, documentation, and continuous improvement of data-related solutions.
• Work in modern environments based on open-source components for data management and analytics.

Your Profile

• Experience in Python development.
• Experience with version control using Git or similar tools.
• Experience in data analysis and data processing in business-oriented or technical contexts.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with, for example, Data Engineers, developers, and business representatives.
• Experience working with or contributing to the development of data platforms based on data lakes or similar architectures, under guidance.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, or contributing to the management of data pipelines.
• Basic experience with containerized applications, such as Docker, and knowledge of Kubernetes-based environments.
• Experience working in environments based on open-source components for data platforms and analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the public sector.
• Familiarity with the Onyxia platform.
• Agile working methods such as Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps.
• Data platforms and analytics environments focused on automation and reusability.
• Collaboration within larger development or data organizations.
