Your Role

Our Systems Engineering section within Mechanics is looking for a driven and technically competent Systems Engineer. As a member of our team, you will be involved in the entire development chain for mechanical systems and hardware, from concept to finished product as well as product care. Requirements and verification work require broad technical competence as our products span several technology areas.

Technology development projects are conducted within the section, which you may become involved in. This includes, for example, improvement projects regarding improved working methods or projects related to pre-studies of new products, new materials, and manufacturing methods. Acting as a project or case leader is also a common task.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who is an initiative-taking and problem-solving person with an interest in mechanics. You thrive in collaboration with others, but also have the ability to independently drive tasks in a structured manner. By collaborating across boundaries with other functions while being receptive and curious, you make it possible. Coordination and follow-up are key.

We are looking for you who has a genuine interest in complex technical products. You have a university or university degree with a focus on mechanical engineering or similar. The position suits both you who have recently graduated and you with a few years of experience in mechanical design and product development. We would like you to have experience in a leading role within technical professions and be accustomed to working in development projects. If you have previous experience from the defense industry or from Saab products, it is an advantage.

Since we collaborate with both local and international suppliers as well as colleagues from different parts of the organization, fluent Swedish and English are prerequisites for working efficiently and maintaining high quality in our processes. The position also involves regular contact with operations at different locations within the organization, which means a Class B driver's license is required.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently applicable regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
