About the role

Do you want to help create sustainable water and wastewater solutions that make a difference for both people and nature? Ramboll Water is looking for an enthusiastic Water and Wastewater (VA) Designer to join our Water Infrastructure unit in Linköping/Norrköping.

We welcome candidates who have recently completed their studies or have some experience in the water/wastewater and infrastructure industry.

You will have dedicated colleagues with extensive experience at your side, working within an organization whose expertise spans a wide range of technical areas within civil engineering.

As a VA Designer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing municipal water and wastewater networks with associated facilities such as pump stations, manholes, valves, etc., as well as designing stormwater detention/retention basins and purification measures.
• Designing external water and wastewater systems and stormwater management on private land for various property companies or developers.
• Being responsible for water and wastewater design in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, where water and wastewater is one of several technical areas.
• Working in early stages with investigations, system designs, or preliminary design.
• Producing complete tender documents and construction documents according to AMA-anläggning standards.

Your new work group

You will join the Water Infrastructure (WI) team in Linköping-Norrköping. The team currently consists of 12 experienced water and wastewater engineers who primarily work on design, modeling, and investigation assignments of various sizes, from early-stage investigations to detailed design and as-built documentation. We collaborate closely with other Water teams, as well as other technical disciplines within Ramboll.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree or vocational college diploma in construction/land/water/environment or equivalent technical high school education, combined with relevant experience.
• Has some form of experience/internship in water and wastewater design as a consultant, or has worked with infrastructure projects as a contractor or in a client organization.
• Has basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English.
• Is unpretentious, positive, careful, responsible, and curious — we value personal qualities and engagement highly.
