We are now looking for a skilled employee who wants to work with Traffic Arrangements (TA) in Jönköping and surrounding areas. Our business is an important piece of the puzzle in the push for safe workplaces and a secure traffic environment. We are looking for you, who, just like us, are passionate about road safety!

Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is a big task. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both. At Svevia, we combine the small company's sense of community and team spirit with the stability of a large corporation. Here you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with engagement, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your role as a road worker in traffic arrangements

As a road worker, your work will primarily consist of carrying out TA projects in Jönköping and the surrounding area. You will be involved in TA projects of various sizes. This includes, among other things, driving a TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle and working with the deployment of traffic arrangements to create safe roadwork sites.

You will have close supervision and subcontractors to collaborate with. The work is physical in nature, and we work outdoors.

The position is full-time, and working hours are normally scheduled between 07:00–16:00, although inconvenient hours may occur. On-call duty may also be part of the role. Start date by agreement. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Location: Jönköping.

Who are you?

Your personal qualities are important to us. We want you to take initiative, be open to change, and willing to take on new tasks. We are flexible and considerate, and we help each other when needed. The key to succeeding in this role is that, in addition to your skills, you have a service-oriented profile and enjoy having fun at work!

To succeed in the role, we see it as a requirement that you have:

  • Category B and C driver's license
  • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • YKB (Professional Competence Certificate for Professional Drivers)

It is also meritorious if you have previous experience working on roads or in operations/maintenance, as well as having a Category CE license and crane training.

Part of something bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor. Within operations and maintenance, we handle, among other things, summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state's road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family heading to the mountains. We ensure that commercial goods transports reach their destinations and keep streets, squares, and parks clean and tidy. Additionally, we save lives on the road through our traffic arrangement services.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we strive to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt pavers, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional knowledge, you can make a difference on the road. We always put safety first – both with care for your own working environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities, whether you want to deepen your expertise in your specific area or move into a leadership position. Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?

Application and information

You apply easily by sending your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting in a quality-assured, inclusive, and unbiased manner. Therefore, we do not request a cover letter.

Please submit your application as soon as possible and no later than June 26. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and employment may take place before the final application deadline.
